Chili con corn is a kind of stew that is cooked with minced meat, green / red pepper, red kidney beans, tomatoes and some familiar spices! This dish is very popular in other states besides Texas in America.
Chile served for some reason with plain rice
Materials
- Mince of cow / chicken - 1 cup
- Red Kidney Bean - 1 cup (can be made with a tin can)
- Green capsicum pieces - 1 cup
- Onion Cube - 1 cup
- Garlic cloves - 2 tablespoons
- Tomatoes cut into small cubes - 2 cups
- Tomato paste - 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder - 2 teaspoons
- 1 teaspoon of dry oregano
- Paprika powder - 2 tablespoons
- Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice
- Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
- Like salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons (brings a slightly different taste)
Method
First put minced meat in the pot with oil. Stir and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Now add onion and cook for a while. Now add garlic cloves, green capsicum pieces, tomato pieces, tomato paste, kidney beans, all dry spices, salt and 2 cups of hot water, cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour. Make sure that it does not stick to the bottom and move it a little from time to time.
After one hour, when the stew becomes thick, take it out of the oven, after taking it down, sprinkle some coriander leaves. Take down and serve with hot rice.
